An updated key visual for the anime A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special was also made available, along with the launch date of October 7. The series is being animated by Arvo Animation under Taishi Kawaguchi’s direction.

The opening theme music “Get Back” by FLOW can be heard in the official trailer. Takuma Terashima plays Desir Herrman, Natsumi Fujiwara plays Pram Schnaize, and Sayumi Suzushiro plays Romaintica Elle in the anime. With Hiromi Kato serving as the character designer, Takamitsu Kouno is in charge of the anime’s series composition and script writing. The soundtrack is being written by Kenta Higashiohji, while the sound and art directors are Takatoshi Hamano and Eiji Iwase.
Story

The web novel by So-nan Yu and Uk-jakga, A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special, which was initially published on KakaoPage from September 2016 to August 2019, served as the inspiration for the anime. It was turned into a webtoon with artwork by Wookjakga. In May 2018, KakaoPage started serializing it. In Japan, it is printed by Kadokawa Shoten and distributed digitally by Piccoma.
