On Thursday, the primary voice cast, teaser poster, teaser trailer, and 2023 release date of the anime adaptation of Ichika Isshiki and fame’s light novel series “Berserk of Gluttony” (Bōshoku no Berserk: Ore Dake Level to Iu Gainen wo Toppa Suru) were unveiled on the official website.

Story
Fate Graphite is a member of the forsaken, cursed with the insatiable skill of “Gluttony.” He is in a perpetual state of hunger, always craving more, until the day he kills a dying thief and consumes both the man’s strength and his soul. This act awakens the true potential of Fate’s Gluttony, and with the proper mastery, he can finally take control of his own fate. With this newfound power, Fate has the opportunity to break free from his curse and become the master of his own destiny.
Isshiki first released the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō service before launching the first novel volume with illustrations by fame in November 2017. The eighth volume of the series was released in October 2022. In October 2022, Seven Seas also released the seventh volume in English. Furthermore, Micro Magazine has been publishing the novels in a larger bunko format, with the first volume debuting in October 2021 and the fifth volume in September 2022.
As for the manga adaptation, Daisuke Takino launched it on Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride website in April 2018. The ninth compiled volume of the manga was published in Japan in October 2022, and Seven Seas is set to release the eighth volume on July 4.
