Once again, the Soul Reapers return to us from the official account of the Bleach video game, titled “Bleach Rebirth of Souls,” where we get a first look at this highly anticipated release. This trailer greatly increases the hype as it shows us the game mechanics, characters, and the plot surrounding the video game, as well as the platforms it will be directed to. A game that looks incredible and that no fan of this super popular franchise should miss.
In a recent update from the official English account of the video game in development, Bleach Rebirth of Soul, a very extensive trailer (just over three juicy minutes) was shared just a few days ago, showing many interesting things. Firstly, we see that this game has a very fluid battle mode and with evolutions, bankais, as a very recurring mechanic. This is represented with the battle of the infiltrator arc in the Soul Society from the original anime.
Furthermore, they have shared information about the release, which will be oriented to the following platforms: Steam store for PC, PS4/PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, so it will be available on most current consoles. This comes with graphics that, as we note, bear similarities to the modeling used in games like Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, Black Clover Quartet Knights, or Kimetsu no Yaiba the Hinokami Chronicles.
We must remember that, since its announcement, the game has generated a lot of hype, which has now increased, as the quality of the video game has completely pleased the fans. Aside from its graphic section, the plot does not seem to lag behind; it appears the story transports us to the beginning of Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends’ journey, making it clear that we will have plenty of content to enjoy. Something similar occurred with the recently mentioned project of Kaiju No.8, which has been announced with a trailer that has greatly excited fans of that new “monsterverse.”

Battle video games have always perfectly matched “Shonen” because the action and adrenaline become key components within these stories of overcoming and constant battles for a greater good. This time, Bleach returns to keep us in a state of extreme tension, as besides this dizzying game with so much visible potential, the trailer for its third part of Bleach Thousand Year Blood Arc was revealed at Animexpo 2024, which does not give us a minute’s rest, but we welcome it with open arms, as good unconditional fans that we are!
What can we say about Bleach’s plot?
Okay, now let’s focus our attention on the plot of Bleach, or well, since it’s so extensive, at least the part that will be portrayed within the game: we’ll step into the shoes of Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old boy who can see ghosts. Despite this, he has always continued his life without problems, although recently he has been taking care of the ghost of a little girl, who suddenly disappears and then he discovers that she is being pursued by a giant monster with a huge hole in its chest. The ensuing fight does not look good, but fortunately, it is interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious young girl dressed in ancient traditional Japanese clothing, wielding a very particular katana. She tries to keep Ichigo away, but he can see that the girl is losing the battle.
The protective instinct present in Ichigo Kurosaki is superior to everything known, so he cannot stand idly by when the young woman is in danger. Following the instructions of his sudden ally, the boy uses the sword on himself, thus obtaining the powers of a “Substitute Soul Reaper,” and defeating the huge monster with ease, even to the surprise of his wounded ally. Thus begins the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, the Soul Reaper, and his friends Uryu Ishida, Sado Yasutora, Rukia Kuchiki, and Orihime Inoue. A series that opened this century with a golden clasp alongside Naruto and One Piece, providing us with the three greats of the Shonen magazine. A series recommended for every lover of action, battles, and fighting spirit.
As for what we can appreciate about the story present in the game Bleach Rebirth of Souls, the truth is we can’t say much, although, at a narrative level, we have been able to appreciate that many of the strong points that have always passionate us about Bleach will be VERY PRESENT. Among them, the different evolutions of the characters and their weapons, which, if we remember, reflect the spiritual power of their bearer, changing in size and appearance on many occasions, and these evolutions and changes will be an important part of the dynamics of this video game, depending on it even the course and definition of the battles.
Undoubtedly, the whole world of the Soul Reapers, and the very Soul Society of Bleach, that “world” above the world, have always been fascinating, and now we will be able to experience firsthand much of the most adrenaline-pumping that the series has offered us… I don’t know about you, but we can no longer wait!… Now, how about being a good Reaper, and swinging by the comments to tell us what you think about this news?
