Shimane Illuminati Saga, the previously unannounced new Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) anime, debuted a trailer and key image along with its January 2024 release date. The third season of the TV anime is titled The Shimane Illuminati Saga.

Between the conclusion of the Kyoto Impure Arc (second season) and the Shimane Illuminati Saga, which spans chapters 50–64, there are two more arcs. Terror of the Kraken and Academy Seven Wonders are their names.
An anime adaptation of Kazue Katou’s manga, Blue Exorcist. Jump Square magazine first published it as a serial in 2009. The anime’s initial season, which aired from episodes 16 to 25, was released in the spring of 2011. A Blue Exorcist Movie movie was also released in 2012. The second season, dubbed Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, premiered in the winter of 2017. It continued to adapt the manga’s plot despite the prequel’s anime-only segment. Along with a 2-episode OVA from season 2, a side-story titled Blue Exorcist: Kuro’s Trip Away From Home is also available. The entire franchise was animated by A-1 Pictures.
