Story
People from the so-called lower classes are rising up to combat inequality in the midst of the French Revolution: “It’s the natural order for them to milk us dry with impossible rents and unpayable taxes,” a young leader named Maria (Davies) cries. Richter Belmont (Bluemel) discerns a graver and more serious threat in the meanwhile. He has continued the family heritage of vampire hunting, a profession that has existed for almost as long as a vampire’s lifespan (i.e., forever). However, he has never experienced anything quite like what he experiencing right now. Could his mother’s passing be connected to the sharp increase in vampire activity? What’s up with this alleged report of a vampire messiah, too?
Kevin Kolder is the show’s creator and writer, and Clive Bradley is identified as the show’s showrunner. The original Castlevania game was released in 1986, and the animated series is based on those games. The protagonist of Castlevania: Nocturne is Richter, a member of the Belmont family.
