Demon Slayer Season 4 Hashira Training Arc Gets TV Anime

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-Hen) TV anime concluded its 11th and final episode on Monday, revealing that the next arc, Hashira Geiko-Hen (Hashira Training Arc), will receive a TV anime adaptation.

The Swordsmith Village Arc anime premiered on April 9 at 11:55 p.m. JST on Fuji TV with a one-hour special. Prior to the new arc’s debut, two specials for the previous Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime aired on April 1 and April 8.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime as it airs and will also produce dubs in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Hindi.

The anime had theatrical screenings starting from February 3, playing in 418 theaters across Japan. The screenings included episodes 10 and 11 of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, along with the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc. The screenings were held in theaters in more than 95 countries and territories.

Director Haruo Sotozaki, character designer and chief animation director Akira Matsushima, animation studio ufotable, and the main cast will all return for the new arc.

The initial TV anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga premiered in April 2019. Aniplex of America licensed the series and streamed it on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation. Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block aired the TV anime in October 2019.

The Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train anime film started screening in Japan in October 2020, and Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the film.

The Mugen Train Arc, a seven-episode arc adapting the Mugen Train film, premiered in October 2021. Following that, the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen) TV anime debuted in December 2021 with a one-hour special. Both Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc anime series.
