Earlier yesterday, a new trailer for the highly anticipated anime “Kaiju No. 8” was released. The series will be animated by Production I.G and is scheduled to premiere in April 2024. Notably, Studio Khara will be responsible for the impressive animal designs in the anime.
During Anime Expo, fans were teased with the promise of a major announcement, but it turned out to be a reveal of the date when new information about the series will be unveiled.
The journey towards the anime adaptation began in December of the previous year with the release of the first teaser and studio details. Over the following months, character designs were slowly revealed, creating excitement among fans.

The original “Kaiju No. 8” manga, created by Nawa Matsumoto, began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in July 2020. Since then, it has been compiled into 7 volumes. Viz Media acquired the English licensing rights for North America and has already released four volumes, with the fifth set for release on January 23, 2022. Interestingly, the series was initially licensed in English as “Monster #8”, but the name was later changed back to “Kaiju No. 8”. Nevertheless, Manga Plus, where the series is available to read for free, retains the original title.
