Just a few days ago, the official account on X for the anime “Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions” (“Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri“) revealed that the second season of the series will premiere on Japanese television on October 7th. Outside the Asian continent, the simulcast of the series will be offered through the Crunchyroll service.
Production and Voices
Shōta Ihata (Girlish Number) is once again in charge of directing this anime for the Diomedea studio. Alongside him, Wataru Watari (Isekai Yakkyoku) oversees the script, while Masakazu Ishikawa (Squid Girl) handles the character designs, and Yo Tsuji (Miss Hokusai) is responsible for the musical composition. The first season, consisting of thirteen episodes and aired between October and December 2023, could be followed in simulcast on Crunchyroll, where it remains available today.
As for the confirmed voice cast to date, it includes the following voice actors:

“Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions” is the new work by Akira Amano, author of “Tutor Hitman Reborn!” and “ēlDLIVE“. It is a story of mystery and crime that began to be published on the Shōnen Jump+ web manga service from Shueisha in October 2020. The work remains ongoing in Japan with fourteen volumes published.
Synopsis
“Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions” is a mystery and drama story centered on Ron Kamonohashi, a former detective student with remarkable talent, whose career was abruptly halted due to a fatal error that led to his expulsion from the BLUE Detective Academy five years ago. Since then, he has lived in isolation, but his life takes a turn when Totomaru Isshiki, a well-meaning but unskilled police detective, seeks his help. Motivated by a desire to solve murders and help people, Isshiki believes that Kamonohashi‘s experience and unique skills could be crucial in solving complex cases.
The dynamic between Kamonohashi and Isshiki is central to the manga, with Kamonohashi often employing unconventional and sometimes supernatural methods to solve cases. This collaboration not only addresses the mysteries but also develops an interesting chemistry between the characters, balancing the severity of the crimes with moments of lightness and humor.
