New York Comic Con (NYCC) is the largest comic and pop culture convention on the East Coast of the United States, organized by ReedPop. This annual event is held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City and attracts fans of comics, movies, television series, and more. Since its inception in 2006, NYCC has grown significantly in size and popularity, becoming a key meeting point for the entertainment industry and its followers.
For the 2024 edition, NYCC is scheduled to take place from October 17th to 20th. During these four days, attendees will be able to enjoy a wide range of panels, celebrity meet-and-greets, autograph sessions, and exclusive previews of upcoming releases. Additionally, NYCC 2024 will be a prominent space for the exhibition and celebration of cosplay, as it could not be otherwise. Tickets for NYCC 2024 will go on sale to the general public starting June 26th. Applications for the “Artist Alley” are already open and will remain so until June 10th. As in previous years, tickets are expected to sell out quickly, given the high interest and popularity of the event.

- Paul Bettany: British actor, primarily known for his role as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a synthezoid with superhuman abilities and an infinity stone embedded in his forehead. He has also starred in movies like “A Beautiful Mind” and “Master and Commander“.
- Josh Brolin: American actor, famous for portraying Thanos, the main villain in several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, culminating in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame“. Brolin is also known for his roles in “No Country for Old Men” and “Milk“.

New York Comic Con in History
Since 2006, and over many years, New York Comic Con has been the setting for major events, announcements, revelations, and much more. Here we leave you some of them:
- Anime Fest @ NYCC X Anime Expo Launch (2018): In 2018, NYCC organizers announced a collaboration with Anime Expo to hold the event Anime Fest @ NYCC X Anime Expo.
- Virtual Event During the Pandemic (2020): Originally scheduled for October, NYCC 2020 was canceled as an in-person event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and instead, a virtual event called “New York Comic Con X MCM Comic Con Metaverse” was held.
- In-Person Resumption with Health Measures (2021): NYCC returned to the Javits Center in 2021 with an in-person event, requiring proof of vaccination for all attendees over 12 years old and negative COVID-19 tests for those under 12.
- LEGO Ninjago Launch: On the last day of NYCC in a recent year, LEGO launched the new season of Ninjago in the U.S., offering a themed experience at the Helen Mills Event Space and Theater near the Javits Center.
- Exclusive Premiere of “Watchmen” Series (2019): During NYCC 2019, HBO took the opportunity to premiere the first episode of the “Watchmen” series before its broadcast on television. This event was very significant as it attracted a large number of fans eager to see how the acclaimed graphic novel would be adapted.
- Important Marvel Announcements (2019): Marvel made several significant announcements at NYCC 2019, including details on new comic series and updates on its upcoming movies and series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
