Additionally, the publication indicates that this new version of the popular manga will premiere this year, more specifically on November 28, and will be globally broadcast through Amazon Prime Video… And, as if that wasn’t enough information overload, it has also been revealed that on December 20, a movie in the same format will premiere in theaters all over Japan!!

As you have seen in the trailer, you can get a glimpse of the actors who will bring the main characters to life, Ai Hoshino, Aqua Hoshino, Ruby Hoshino, Kana Arima, Akane Kurokawa, and Mem-cho. You will surely agree with us that both the trailer and the new visual look simply stunning. This undoubtedly leaves fans of “Oshi no Ko” as calm as they are anxious, who can’t wait for November to come to firsthand enjoy this respectful and careful adaptation of such a captivating story. The fan community of this franchise has not hesitated to express their concern over the past few months regarding the care that would be taken over certain aspects of this project, in terms of quality and fidelity of the adaptation, among other things. Now, without a doubt, they can only count the days and hours until the premiere of this work on Amazon Prime Video.

Oshi no Ko” is a manga about comedy, drama, music, supernatural themes, and life situations, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, and which began serialization on April 23, 2020, in Shūkan Young Jump magazine by Shueisha Publishing. To date, the work has 14 compiled volumes in “tankōbon” format, and its success led to an anime adaptation being announced in June 2022 by Doga Kobo studio, which premiered on April 12, 2023. A second season is scheduled to premiere on July 3, 2024.

You remember what “Oshi no Ko” is about, right?

Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful 16-year-old Idol girl, dearly loved by her fans, who assure that she is the personification of purity. But not all that glitters is gold: Horou Honda is a gynecologist from a rural area and a big fan of Ai; therefore, he is more than surprised when the pregnant Idol girl shows up at his clinic. Gorou promises her a safe delivery, unaware that he would soon encounter a mysterious figure, which would lead to his premature death. Upon opening his eyes, Gorou finds himself in the arms of his beloved Idol, and discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, Ai’s newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon begins to learn that the entertainment world is full of thorns, and that talent does not always lead to success. Will he be able to protect his beloved Idol and his new family?

On other occasions, I have said about “Oshi no Ko” that it is one of those stories that generate empathy for its characters from the first minute. Now, as we look forward to seeing its main characters brought to life by actors in live-action format, we can only hope that the same will be achieved in this new version. Although, as can be seen in its trailer, the project is very well underway. What do you think? Why don’t you drop by the comments and let us know your opinion on these news? And as always, we will be reading! 🙂
