You feel it, and indeed, we all can feel it… At this time of year, there’s a special vibration in the air, growing stronger and peaking very soon, specifically during the upcoming month of JULY. Yes, you can say it now, go ahead, take a deep breath and repeat with me…: San Diego Comic-Con 2024 is almost here!!

This year’s edition of the world-famous San Diego Comic-Con will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in California, USA, from July 25 to 28.

We are talking about what can be considered the most famous comic and pop culture convention in the world, without beating around the bush. San Diego Comic-Con began in 1970 and has not stopped growing in size and popularity since then, attracting a wide range of participants, including some of the biggest names in comics, film, television, and video games. Its popularity stems not only from its large attendance but also from the prominence of its panels, the variety of its exhibitions, and the level of its special guests, not to mention its impact on the entertainment industry and its ability to generate news and trends across multiple fan communities, making it unique in its genre.

Whether you like anime, comics, movies, video games, or pop culture in general, or are simply a tourist passing through San Diego, California this upcoming July, there are countless reasons why you surely wouldn’t want to miss such an event. But just in case, here we’ll list some of the activities that will take place at the San Diego Convention Center from July 25 to 28.

  • Paramount+’s The Lodge: This space will offer immersive experiences and activities related to popular shows like “Knuckles“, “Halo“, “Frasier“, among others. Visitors will have the chance to participate in themed games and take photos on sets specifically designed to mimic scenes from these series.
  • Various exhibitions and activities: The convention will feature a wide range of stands and exhibitions in the exhibition hall, where attendees can see everything from exclusive items to fan and press tables. Additionally, there will be an anime show, a film festival for children, and a portfolio review for those interested in art and animation.
  • Masquerade: One of the most anticipated events is the Masquerade, a cosplay contest where participants can showcase their impressive costumes and compete for prizes.
  • Game zones and film festivals: There will be areas dedicated to games and a film festival, providing entertainment and film culture to attendees. These activities offer an excellent opportunity to interact with other fans and enjoy new experiences related to cinema and video games.
