Following the broadcast of the final episode, the production of a second season for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta, “Ishura,” was announced. As expected, this is very recent information, so no release date has been announced yet, so we have no choice but to wait a bit for some more information.
As we had already mentioned in our previous post about “Ishura”, the publication of the light novels was started by Keiso through the Shousetsuka ni Narou service in June 2017, where they continue to be published to this day. The Kadokawa publishing house began its publication in physical format, featuring illustrations by Kureta, in September 2019, and later, in March 2021, a manga adaptation began to be published, which came from the hand of Meguri, and is published to the present in the Monthly Shonen Magazine of the Kodansha publishing house.

Synopsis
“Ishura” is set in a fantasy world where a group of demigods, heirs to the power to defeat the Demon King, are in a struggle for power and survival. Among them is a young elf wizard of immense power, capable of freely manipulating the world around him. Although he has lived his entire life in the elf community, his naivety about the outside world does not prevent him from facing formidable challenges.
The plot also focuses on other intriguing characters, such as a revenant created by a demon lord who is forced to serve as a weapon of war in exchange for her freedom, and an undead skeleton mercenary famous for his speed, hired by a new principality. In addition, the story of a paladin who seeks to revive his dying order by working on dangerous missions as an assassin is explored, although in reality, his powers come from his angelic companion, Nastique, who is the true Shura among them.
With the announcement of the second season of the anime, fans can expect the plot to expand even further, exploring new aspects of the world of “Ishura” and presenting even greater challenges for its protagonists. The series promises to continue delving into the motivations, relationships, and conflicts of these complex characters, keeping viewers captivated with every twist of the plot.
