Synopsis
“The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You” tells the story of Rentarou Aijou, a young man who has faced several romantic disappointments. Tired of this situation, his luck seems to take a turn when he encounters a peculiar shrine for the first time. After offering a prayer, the god of the shrine grants him an incredible opportunity: to meet one hundred soulmates at his high school.
Though initially skeptical, Rentarou soon discovers that it’s all true when two beautiful girls, Hakari Hanazono and Karane Inda, declare their love for him on the very day they meet him. BUT (there’s always a “but”) the god of the shrine had omitted a vital detail: if any of his soulmates fail to establish a relationship with him, they would face death. Suddenly, Rentarou finds himself with the fate of his one hundred soulmates in his hands, so with little choice, he decides to accept the challenge and date all of them. With a brave and generous heart, Rentarou embarks on an emotional and chaotic journey, as his family of soulmates only grows and grows.
Going through situations as funny as they are romantic, “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You” explores Rentarou‘s struggle to keep all his girlfriends happy, while trying to deepen and develop his connections with each of them. With life or death at stake amidst his love life, our protagonist faces unexpected challenges as he discovers the true meaning of love, loyalty, and sacrifice, in this captivating and funny story about a simple unlucky-in-love guy suddenly finding himself with one hundred soulmates.
