Through a press release, it was confirmed that the anime adaptation of the manga written by Hiro Mashima and illustrated by Atsuo Ueda, “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest,” has finally set its premiere date for the Summer 2024 season (July – September) in Japan. In addition, the same release revealed the voice cast and production team, which will be handled by the studios J.C.STAFF.
Production Team
- Shinji Ishihira (Log Horizon, FAIRY TAIL, Munou na Nana) is in charge of general direction, while Toshihiro Watanabe (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Gyakushuu no Char) is in charge of direction at J.C.STAFF studios.
- Atsuhiro Tomioka (Kenpuu Denki Berserk, IS: Infinite Stratos, ONE PIECE STAMPEDE) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Yurika Sako (EDENS ZERO, Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi, Machikado Mazoku) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Yasuharu Takanashi (Zombie Land Saga, Log Horizon, BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS) is in charge of the soundtrack composition.

Mashima and Ueda began the publication of the manga in Kodansha‘s digital Magazine Pocket service in July 2018. This manga is a direct sequel to the manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, “Fairy Tail,” which was published in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shonen Magazine between August 2006 and July 2017, with a total of sixty-three compiled volumes.
Synopsis

The story continues right after the events of the original manga, following the adventures of the Fairy Tail mage guild as they embark on the legendary 100-year quest, a task that has never been completed by any other guild in history.
