Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha will premiere its anime adaptation in Japan next January 2024.
There is great anticipation for the arrival of “Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha“, a series that has promised to capture the attention of anime lovers in Japan with its scheduled premiere for the coming January 2024. The light novel, created by Yuu Okano with illustrations by Jaian, has been the foundation for this adaptation that promises to bring all the excitement and adventure of the original story to the screen.
Recently, the team responsible for bringing “Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha” to the anime realm has shared an engaging promotional video. This preview has confirmed the release date, and it has also revealed that the soundtrack will feature the musical signature of JUVENILE with the opening theme “IMMORTAL”. On the other hand, the renowned Mao Abe will lend her vocal talent to the closing theme, adding depth and emotion to the project.

Since its inception in October 2017 under the Overlap publishing label, the light novel by Jaian and Okano has been gaining followers. Now, with the announcement of the release of the tenth compilation volume on April 25 in Japan, the anticipation has grown even more. Simultaneously, the manga adaptation of this story, by the hand of Haiji Nakasone, has been available for enthusiastic readers on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website since November 2017, expanding the series’ universe.
Regarding the technical team behind the anime adaptation, it includes the participation of distinguished professionals in the field:
- Noriaki Akitaya, known for his work on renowned series like “Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch” and “Bakuman”, will assume the direction at CONNECT studios.
- Yukie Sugawara, who has shown her skill in series such as “Sword Art Online” and “Overlord”, will be in charge of the composition and supervision of the scripts.
- Takao Sano, with an impressive resume that includes “Horimiya: Piece” and “Isekai Shokudou”, will carry out the character design and the direction of animation.
And as for the vocal talent, the cast is composed of figures such as:
- Ryouta Suzuki, giving life to Rentt Faina, the protagonist of our story.
- Mikako Komatsu, in the role of Lorraine Vivie.
- Ikumi Hasegawa, portraying Sheila Ibarss.
- Sayumi Suzuhiro, as Rina Rupaage.
The Unwanted Undead Adventurer:
“Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha” introduces us to Rentt Faina, a 25-year-old adventurer who, after a decade of fighting monsters, doesn’t seem to stand out in his profession. With a daily routine of encounters with slimes and goblins for scant coins, Rentt’s life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a secret path to the Labyrinth of the Reflected Moon. There, instead of treasures, he finds a legendary dragon that devours him without delay. However, Rentt awakens, not dead, but in a new skeletal form. Now armed with his trusty sword, his tool belt, and his daunting new look, Rentt embarks on an unusual odyssey in search of a legendary artifact that, hopefully, could return him to his human form.
This unexpected twist in the protagonist’s life marks the beginning of a unique adventure that will surely capture both old followers and new viewers when the series makes its debut on the small screen.
